Overview

A custom platform that runs a fuel station in real time — live pump status, transactions, attendance, vehicles and the financial models behind every margin — designed and developed from scratch.

The problem

A fuel station runs minute to minute: pumps, attendants, vehicles and payments all move at once, and every drive-away is fuel that goes unpaid.

The approach

Django and WebSockets stream pump status and transactions live, while proprietary algorithms calculate fuel margins and response times and detect drive-aways. Everything feeds business-intelligence dashboards for financial reporting and strategic decisions.

Contributions

  1. 01Designed and developed the system with real-time monitoring, attendance tracking, transaction processing and vehicle tracking.
  2. 02Implemented proprietary algorithms for fuel margins, response times and drive-away detection.
  3. 03Built the architecture on Python, Django and WebSockets for live pump status and transaction tracking.
  4. 04Integrated AWS S3 file storage, Twilio notifications, Redis caching and custom payment processing.
  5. 05Developed financial models for fuel pricing, margin calculation and revenue tracking (RAS).
  6. 06Secured access with IP-based authentication, role-based access control and device fingerprinting.
  7. 07Automated employee attendance and performance tracking, and vehicle registration with fuel preferences and plate numbers.
  8. 08Created business-intelligence dashboards for financial reporting, transaction analytics and performance metrics.
